Der Schlangemann

Der Schlangemann is a seven-minute short film in pseudo-German made by Andreas Hansson and Björn Renberg in Umeå, Sweden, 1998-2000. The film was shot in 16 mm on a Bolex Paillard using 12 to 24 animations per second and was later transfered to 35 mm dolby SR to make screenings at festivals possible.

Since its first screening in the autumn of 2000 it has been shown throughout Europe including Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Spain and Holland. It won the audience award for best short film at the 13th Horror and Fantasy film festival in San Sebastian, Spain.
